What you can expect

We are looking for a candidate for the position of Intern within our Financial Reporting Compliance unit for a period of three to six months. We offer you the opportunity to put your theoretical skills to work in practice in an international team right from the very first day.

• Your work is needed to assist with global coordination and further development of an effective internal control system for financial reporting.
• You will support the various units and companies on issues having to do with the internal control system, thereby gaining comprehensive insight into the business processes and global organization of BASF.
• In addition, you will monitor and interpret both national and international specifications regarding internal control and risk management, thereby making a significant contribution to the unit's success.
• You will pursue the subject of compliance in financial reporting by doing your part to aid in conceptual further development and evolution and by implementing training sessions.

What we expect

• You are a student of business and economics or social sciences with a focus on finance or accounting and have above-average grades.
• You are a proficient user of MS Office, which allows you not only to perform effective analyses in Excel, but also to present in a clearly organized form in PowerPoint.
• You will master your tasks within our intercultural team in both German and English.
• On a personal level, you are distinguished by your assertive, values-oriented behavior and analytical mindset, and you are also able to adopt the viewpoints of others.
