  • Manage the budgeting and strategic path analysis process for the global business unit.
  • Lead the monthly forecasting process and associated consolidations for the global business unit, including supporting senior management reviews and analysis.
  • Prepare monthly commentary and analysis of the global division’s financial results.
  • Provide expertise, training, and solutions related to global systems (e.g., MARIS, COBUS, Market Profit).
  • Support various activities related to the Catalyst global controlling organization’s mission, including strategic planning and reporting processes
  • Perform economic evaluations, impairment testing, and strategic analysis related to CapEx and M&A.
  • Serve as a business partner by promoting long-term value creation with sound financial analysis and decision support.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses in support of business unit requirements.
  • Lead market profit management process across the division.
  • Drive initiatives and lead teams associated with process improvement across scope of responsibilities.
  • Maintain the highest standards of integrity and professionalism while also implementing any required internal controls.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline is required. A relevant technical degree (BS in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry) may be substituted, particularly if supported with subsequent academic qualification (MBA). Advanced degree is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of financial analysis experience, ideally in a global, process-driven manufacturing company.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as is the capability to provide meaningful insights while executing at both the strategic and tactical levels.
  • Familiarity with MS Office software, including expertise with Excel and PowerPoint, is essential.
  • Demonstrated capability to translate financial data simply into meaningful actions for operations to drive results.
  • Ability to challenge status quo collaboratively to drive and inspire progress.

Preferred Skills/Experiences:

  • Experience managing budgeting and financial statement forecasting processes is highly desirable.
  • Prior background in performing complex economic evaluations of significant business investments is preferable.
  • Project management experience is advantageous.
  • Significant experience using Excel pivot tables and associated functionality is preferable.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Tableau and financial reporting systems is advantageous.
