We are looking for a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to work at our Houston site.

Formula for Success: You Will…

  • Manage the budgeting process for the North American Cracker Products business and Joint Venture
  • Lead the monthly forecasting process and associated consolidations for the North American business unit and the Joint Venture
  • Prepare monthly commentary and analysis of the business’s and the JV’s financial results
  • Partner with the business unit management to develop and implement strategic objectives including the accountability to provide senior level business consulting, analysis and recommendations
  • Facilitate capital expenditure governance, control, and financial reporting processes
  • Serve as a business partner, promoting long-term value creation with sound financial analysis and decision support
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses in support of business unit and divisional management requirements
  • Develop transfer prices and determine adjustments including financial review of adjustments and charges
  • Drive initiatives and lead teams associated with process improvements across scope of responsibilities
  • Maintain the highest standards of integrity and professionalism while also implementing any required internal controls

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline with 6+ years of financial analysis experience, ideally in a process-driven manufacturing company. Site experience preferred.
  • Knowledge in basic IFRS accounting principles, practices and procedures with major emphasis in cost accounting.
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to give oral/written presentations of complex data in simple concepts to a large group including executive management.
  • Familiarity with MS Office software, including particular expertise with Excel, Access and PowerPoint, is essential. Significant experience using Excel pivot table, slicer, and associated functionality is preferable.
  • Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
  • CPA, CMA and / or MBA preferred.
