As a Specialist, Digital Transformation in Controlling, based at BASF's North America headquarters in Florham Park, NJ and as part of our global Care Chemicals initiative “From Big to GREAT”, this position serves as the main focal point and facilitator for all topics related to digital transformation in controlling and business steering in our Care Chemicals division. This includes the creation of new and further development of existing controlling and business steering tools supporting not only the controlling community, but also marketing and manufacturing. In addition, the incumbent will enhance financial forecasting by using predictive analytics and statistical methods to enable well informed and pro-active decision-making. • Serve as the main focal point for Care Chemicals’ digital transformation in controlling and business steering.
• Proactively shape Care Chemicals’ shift towards digitalization
• Serve as the business partner for the controlling, sales, and marketing communities.
• Administrate and especially further develop the Care Chemicals global database for financial KPIs and business steering.
• Create or further develop the technical solutions for pricing, portfolio management, and financial forecasting.
• Improve Care Chemicals’ data analysis capabilities by applying predictive analytics and statistical methods.
• Support the improvement of data visualization using interactive dashboards.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Computer Science, or the Quantitative Methods area.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in Business, Computer Science and/or Financial or Quantitative Analysis.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following: SPSS, R, or other statistical analysis tools is highly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of relational data structure and ability to query source data using various interfaces such as SQL Server Management Studio, or an alternative business intelligence tool.
• Familiarity with a variety of statistical disciplines concepts, practices, and procedures. Strongly preferred.
• Additional software certification proficiency is a plus (e.g., Tableau, statistical software, SQL query).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels and exhibit the potential for significant future career growth.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Visual Basic)
• Familiarity with creating dashboards and visualizations in data analysis software such as Tableau preferred.
• Knowledge of SAP or comparable systems is a plus.
